Privacy policy

Last updated 17 October 2026

Coiffe's operator details (legal name, ABN and contact email) appear here before sign-ups open.

This policy explains how Coiffe collects, uses and protects personal information, following the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. It covers the salons that use Coiffe, the people who call them, and the people who book on a salon's website.

What we collect

How we use it

We don't sell personal information, and we don't use callers' information to market to them.

Who helps us

We use service providers to run Coiffe. They handle personal information only to provide their part of the service:

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers that protect information to a standard comparable with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How long we keep it

We keep salon and booking information while the salon uses Coiffe, and call recordings and transcripts so the salon can review its calls. When a salon leaves, we delete its information on request, except what we must keep by law, such as billing records.

Callers

If you called a salon that uses Coiffe, the salon is responsible for your booking and its records. You can ask the salon, or us, to see or correct the information held about you, or to delete a recording.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit, each salon can see only its own data, and access is limited to people who need it to run the service.

Questions and complaints

Contact us using the details above. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We'll update this policy when how we handle information changes, and show the date it was last updated.
