Terms of service
Last updated 20 October 2026
Coiffe's operator details (legal name, ABN and contact email) appear here before sign-ups open.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between Coiffe and the salon that signs up (you). By starting a trial or a plan you accept them on behalf of your salon.
2. The service
Coiffe gives your salon a virtual receptionist that answers calls forwarded to her phone line, in the languages listed on our website. She answers questions from your salon's details, checks availability, and books, moves and cancels appointments in your Coiffe diary, and takes messages for your team. You manage your salon, bookings and settings in the dashboard.
Calls depend on phone networks and service providers outside our control. Coiffe is not suitable for emergencies.
3. Free trial
New salons get 7 days free, including up to 100 minutes of calls. We take a card when you sign up through our payment provider, Stripe. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your plan starts and your card is charged. If the trial's 100 call minutes are used before the 7 days end, your plan starts then. One free trial per salon.
4. Plans and payment
- Plans are Petite ($149 a month, or $1,490 a year), Atelier ($299 a month, or $2,990 a year) and Maison ($499 a month, or $4,990 a year), in Australian dollars, including GST. Tax invoices are available from Plan and billing in your dashboard.
- Each plan includes call minutes every calendar month: 300 (Petite), 800 (Atelier) or 1,600 (Maison). Each call counts in whole minutes, rounded up. Unused minutes don't carry over. Minutes beyond your plan's are 40c each, including GST, and are invoiced and charged to your card on the 1st of the next month.
- Plans are paid in advance and renew automatically at the end of each month or year until cancelled.
- If a payment fails we'll try again and let you know. If it still can't be collected, the receptionist stops taking bookings until it is.
- We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of any change to your plan's price.
5. Changing plans and cancelling
You can change plan, switch between paying monthly and yearly, or cancel, at any time from Plan and billing in your dashboard. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and the receptionist keeps working until then. We don't refund part of a period, except where the law requires it.
6. Your responsibilities
- Keep your salon's details accurate: services, prices, durations, team, hours, holidays and policies. The receptionist answers and books from them.
- Honour bookings the receptionist makes, and check your dashboard for bookings, changes and messages.
- Use the service lawfully, including the laws on recording calls and handling personal information that apply to your salon. The receptionist tells callers she is a virtual receptionist on a recorded line.
- Keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you think someone else has used them.
7. Call recordings and personal information
Calls are recorded and transcribed so the receptionist can work, so you can see what happened on each call, and so we can look into problems. How we handle this information is set out in our privacy policy.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Coiffe available at all times, but there will be occasional interruptions, for example for maintenance or when a provider has an outage. We may improve and change the service over time; if a change takes away something important to you, you can cancel.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost bookings or lost profit, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim. Where our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
11. Suspending or ending the service
We may suspend or end your access if payments aren't made, or if the service is used unlawfully or in a way that harms others. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll tell you about significant changes at least 30 days ahead by email or in your dashboard.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction.
